  • €18m Series A round co-led by Mosaic Ventures and Reid Hoffman, with participation from existing investors Cherry Ventures, General Catalyst and Puzzle Ventures, bringing total funding raised to date to €30m
  • Integral brings together licensed tax professionals and AI engineers to deliver AI-run accounting, tax and payroll services, so founders can stop managing compliance paperwork and focus on growth
  • Funds will expand Integral's proprietary fleet of AI agents across every workflow, from client onboarding to bookkeeping, payroll runs and tax filings and further grow its commercial teams

Berlin, Germany - September 16, 2026 - Integral, the Berlin-based company redefining accounting, tax and payroll services for SMEs, today announced its €18m Series A funding round, co-led by Mosaic Ventures and Reid Hoffman, with participation from existing investors Cherry Ventures, General Catalyst and Puzzle Ventures. The company has raised more than €30m since its founding less than two years ago.

Integral Tax1, the independent licensed firm affiliated with Integral, runs entirely on Integral's platform and uses its AI agents to serve businesses across Germany. Since the beginning of the year, the firm's professionals have already doubled the number of clients each of them can serve.

The AI agents do the work that would require an entire tax and accounting team: they reconcile invoices and bank transactions, create the account postings, and prepare payroll runs and tax filings. Every review by a licensed professional feeds back into the platform, so the automation deepens with every client served. For more than 50% of clients, agents now prepare the books end to end, cutting average monthly accounting turnaround from weeks to hours, while licensed professionals stay in full control, reviewing and signing every filing.

"Software doesn't file your business's taxes. It doesn't run your payroll and it doesn't sign your annual accounts. A licensed professional does, and there are fewer of them every year. So instead of building yet another tool for professionals, we built the firm itself: AI agents do the work, licensed experts stand behind every result. The deeper our automation goes, the better the service," said Lukas Zörner, Co-Founder and CEO of Integral. "This investment round lets us push automation even deeper across all workflows, and it validates that AI-native services is the winning model to rebuild this industry."

"AI's real promise is amplifying what people can do, not replacing them. Integral shows what that looks like in one of the most regulated, trust-dependent industries there is: agents that multiply the reach of licensed professionals, so every small business gets the kind of financial expertise once reserved for large corporations. That's the pattern the next decade of professional services will follow, and Lukas and Anil are building it where the bar is highest: Germany," said Reid Hoffman.

The round puts Integral into the leading position in the AI-native professional services category: companies that do not sell software to service providers, but deliver the service itself, rebuilt from the ground up on AI.

"With AI, it’s possible to rebuild industries from the ground up - not just sell better software. In accounting, tax and payroll, the need is obvious as labour shortages are only getting worse. Integral is uniquely well positioned to solve that problem in Germany and beyond," said Chandar Lal, Partner at Mosaic Ventures.

The Series A will accelerate hiring across AI engineering, licensed professionals and commercial teams. It will also deepen automation across complex accounting, tax and payroll workflows and advance Integral's proprietary compliance intelligence for regulated financial work.
